Mukilteo School District Preschool Options

Mukilteo ECEAP (Students qualify based on income; general education).

  • The program targets 3- and 4-year-old children from families furthest from opportunity for success in school and in life.  It provides child-centered, individualized preschool education and health coordination services on a foundation of strengths-based family support for the specialized population it serves.  Families qualify based on income (i.e. Family of 4 making less than $43,344 annually).

  • Students on IEPs and Mukilteo ECEAP
    • Mukilteo ECEAP provides an inclusive learning environment.  Our goal is to allow students the opportunity to “practice” the skills that they are learning in their developmental preschool.  Students with IEPS are able to learn alongside their age-appropriate, non-disabled peers in the general education setting.
    • Please note that one-on-ones, specialists and some individual/environmental accommodations are not provided at ECEAP.
    • The Special Education Teacher, parents and ECEAP staff will meet prior to enrollment to determine if this setting is appropriate to support the child’s learning goals.

Developmental Preschool (Special Services)

  • This program serves three to five year olds with a wide range of developmental delays. Some students may require lifting, feeding and diapering. Communication, adaptive and social skills development are an integral part of the curriculum in providing early intervention and preparing students for kindergarten.

Community Peer Program (Special Services)

  • Our Community Peer classrooms are made up of both typically developing children and children with disabilities. The classrooms provide enriched opportunities in all areas of development, including empathy and nurturing healthy friendships. All students in the program participate in a variety of developmentally appropriate preschool activities.
