ECEAP 2025 - 2026


  • The ECEAP office will be closed June 16th – August 20th. Emails and phone calls will be returned once a week during the summer closure.

Important Dates
  • August 20th: ECEAP Office opens
  • August 22nd: Enrollments begin
  • August 27th: Teacher conferences begin
  • September 8th: First day of ECEAP

For Students returning to ECEAP:
  • You will receive information in late August. Please note the important dates listed below.
  • Classroom placement is based on the survey that you completed earlier in the year.
  • If a student is dually enrolled in Developmental Preschool, we will ensure that your student is placed in the appropriate session (AM or PM) so that he/she will continue to attend both programs.
  • Please ensure that you schedule well child, dental exam and immunizations over the summer.

For Students New to ECEAP:
  • You will receive an email to sign up for a teacher conference.
  • Please ensure that you schedule well child, dental exam and immunizations over the summer.

For Students attending Kindergarten:
  • You will start to receive information in late August about classroom assignments, open houses, etc through ParentSquare.
  • During the first three days of school, kindergarten teachers will schedule conferences to meet with students and parents. The purpose of the conference is to help your child make a smooth transition to kindergarten.

May
  • 17th: Kids to Parks Day. The third Saturday in May each year is National Kids to Parks Day. This year, Parks is celebrating by partnering with several outside organizations to host activities at multiple parks across the City.
  • 18th: YMCA Swim-A-Palooza. Swim-A-Palooza is our annual free swimming lesson and water safety education day. Community members can come to the facility for free to learn how to be safe in and around the water before enjoying an open swim in our facility. While this event is free, registration is required.
  • 24th: Water Playground at Forest Park
  • 30th: $8.00 Family nights at Aquasox. Come out and enjoy $8.00 Field Reserved tickets on one of our 2025 BECU Family NightsLimit 8 per person. While supplies last. 2025 BECU Family Night Dates: April 8, April 12, May 11, May 30, June 14, June 28, July 6, July 18, July 24, August 7, August 22, August 31
  • 31st: Health & Wellness Expo. Join us for a day dedicated to wellness, community, and fun! Explore activities and resources focused on physical health, mental well-being, nutritional wellness, and fitness, along with specialized support for special education families.

July
  • 4th: Everett's July Fourth Celebration. Celebrate America’s Independence Day with a parade, festival and fireworks. 
  • 5th: Jetty Island Days. Catch a ride on the foot ferry to the Port of Everett’s two-mile-long manmade island during Jetty Island Days. July 5 - August 31.
  • 11th. Salty Sea Days is a summer block party taking over the heart of Downtown Everett, featuring live music, a beer garden and family-friendly activities.
  • 12th: Mill Creek Festival. July 12th - 13th
  • 19th: Summer Fest Family Fun. Families and youth-serving organizations come together at the Arboretum on Saturday, July 19, from 1–4 PM for Summer Fest, a free outdoor event packed with activities, music, and community spirit.
  • 23rd: Movies in the Park - Mukilteo. Come enjoy a family night out at Lighthouse Park. Bring low back lawn chairs, blankets, and friends and enjoy a movie on a gigantic inflatable movie screen. Aug 6th and 20th.
  • 25th: Sail-In Cinema. Join us Friday nights July 25 – August 22, 2025, at the Port of Everett’s Boxcar Park for the 10th annual Sail-In Cinema! The Port of Everett’s Sail-in Cinema is the only waterfront movie series in Snohomish County, offering free, family-friendly movies.
August
  • 2nd: FREE Planet Mynd Summer Community Nerf Bash Day-long, family-friendly Nerf Blaster Battle at Lowell Park. Bring your blasters, we supply everything else.
  • 4th: Free Entrance to National Parks - Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply).

  • 8th: Edmonds Block Party. August 8th - 9th
  • 16th: The Sounds of Africa Festival (SOAFEST) is a dynamic cultural event celebrating the rich traditions, music, and heritage of Africa. 1-7 p.m. at Garfield Park. The festival brings together diverse communities to experience African culture through music, dance, fashion, food, and business. This isn't just an event. It's a reunion.
  • 22nd: MSD Back to School Fair
  • 23rd: Everett Fire Sprinkler Days! Saturday, Aug. 23, 3-4 p.m. Walter E. Hall Park - W. Casino Road. Attention all kids, both young and young-at-heart! Get ready to cool off at Everett Fire's ULTIMATE SPRINKLER DAYS! Grab your swimsuit and flip-flops, and we’ll bring the fire engine and hose to turn up the fun! Spread the word to your friends, family, and neighbors—this is an event you won’t want to miss!

September
  • 5th: Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival. September 5th - 7th
  • 6th: Fair on 44th Lynnwood
  • 6th: End-Of-Summer MyndGames Nerf Blaster Battle. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Everett Boys & Girls Club - 2316 12th St. Close out the summer the right way-- with a Giant Nerf Blaster Battle! All experience levels welcome.

  • 27th: National World of Play - The Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) and our member museums are pleased to partner with Nickelodeon on the 2025 Our World: Worldwide Day of Play. As a day dedicated to experiencing joyful learning through play, this global event focuses on getting children and their families active!

  • Home Depot Kids Workshops (Monthly). Every First Saturday, between 9 am – 12 pm. Learn More.

  • Imagine Children’s Museum. Community Access Nights (Monthly). Every Third Friday, 5 – 9 p.m. All families with children ages 12 and under* are invited.   Sensory time (Monthly). Every Third Sunday 9 am -11 am. Special Sunday program for families with children on the autism spectrum, children with sensory processing disorders and children with other special needs.
  • Alderwood Barnes & Noble. Saturday Storytime (Weekly). 10:30 AM.

  • Museums for All. Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance can gain free or reduced admission to more than 1,200 museums throughout the United States simply by presenting their EBT card and a photo ID.

  • EBT Discounts. Think your Washington EBT card is only for groceries? Think again! You can score amazing discounts on everything from Amazon Prime memberships to zoo tickets.

State Resources
  • Washington Connection offers you a fast and easy way to apply for a variety of public benefits. Services for families and individuals include: Food, cash and childcare.
  • 2-1-1. A free confidential community service and your one-stop connection to the local services you need, from utility assistance, food, housing and much more. Dial the three digit number 2-1-1 on your phone or find Help here.
  • You can visit Washington Healthplanfinder to find healthcare coverage for Children, Parents/caretakers with children, Pregnant women and Adults age 18 to 64 years old.
  • Stretch your food benefits at farmer’s markets and grocery stores.
  • SUNBucks Washington. SUN Bucks, also known as Summer EBT, is a program that helps families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families will get a one-time $120 benefit per year for each eligible child to help buy groceries during the summer months.

Community Resources
  • The Everett Housing Authority creates affordable housing and fosters healthy communities where households thrive. Click here for more information about their Housing Programs.
  • Financial Assistance - PUD. Explore these programs for bill stabilization and assistance, including Project PRIDE, a great way to provide help locally.
  • Evergreen Goodwill offers job training and education programs to people in the community, as well as help finding a job.
  • The WIC Program is a nutrition program for pregnant, postpartum, & breastfeeding women, infants, and children under 5 years old.
  • Madres De Casino. Classes, events and resources.
  • Find hundreds of Snohomish County health and well-being resources at LiveWellLocal.org – a well-being resource hub for Snohomish County. Finding the right help is hard. We make it easier.
  • Help Me Grow - Whether online or over the phone, we can connect you to the resources you need, when you need them. Find essential food, health and child development resources in your community to support your family.
  • Well Being Community Center. We serve under-resourced and vulnerable families without charge, offering classes and support groups, cultural celebrations, traditional and modern arts classes and performances. We provide resource navigation to obtain basic needs of food, housing, legal and other assistance.
  • Verdant Health Commission. Verdant is South Snohomish County’s Public Hospital District. We invest in community health programs through local nonprofits to ensure quality healthcare is accessible to all residents. Classes, Events and Resources.
